The All Wales ‘Diabetic Foot Network’ was recently held in the Welsh Wound Innovation Centre where it will be hosted going forward.
The Network brings to-gether multi disciplinary leads from all Local Health boards involved in management of foot disease. The opportunity to work collaboratively with the Welsh Wound Innovation Centre will build on their shared goals of providing a world class equitable service across Wales, through education, prevention and innovative management to improve outcomes for its citizens.
All Wales executive Group
To ensure equitable and evidence based practice is embedded across Wales an executive group has been formed to develop a transformation document to take forward the recommendations from the diabetes delivery plan. This group is made up of clinical leads who represent diabetic foot services on respective LHB diabetes development and planning groups. The executive group meet four times a year with two of these as part of the twice annual Network meetings.
